Our Mission

TO INSPIRE EMERGING TALENT AND EMPOWER HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED YOUTH IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART, AND MATH EDUCATION

Programs

  • The Droidbuilders STEAM Academy gives students ages 5-18 the opportunity to explore hands-on learning activities and classes in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

  • FAST pairs Stanford graduate student mentors with high minority enrollment high schools. Students answer open questions in science and engineer solutions to problems in their society.

  • STEAM Star transforms industry professionals into STEAM “influencers,” pairing them with educators to show kids ages 5-18 how conventional STEAM concepts are used in unconventional ways in the world’s coolest jobs.

  • LEGO Battle Robots is an immersive, hands-on learning experience for children ages 8-18. Students learn engineering, design, programming, and teamwork as they design their own robots. Spectacular showdowns celebrate their dedication and creativity.

  • The Grant Imahara Coding Challenge — supported by the Ohio Coders Project — utilizes miniature R2-D2 domes to teach electronics and coding skills.
